Our fifth COOPH Gift Guide comes from a little closer to home. Christian Lorenz is one of the creative minds in-house here at COOPH, he shoots photos for us and envisions our YouTube videos.
The Austrian photographer is inspired by nature and spends as much time as possible outdoors. For his job, Christian gets to travel but he also takes time outside of work to visit the most amazing places for photography.
As a member of our team here at COOPH, Christian knows our products inside-out. First, he picked out the classic ROAM Hoodie, “I wear it all year long no matter if at home on the couch or outdoors.” For more inclement weather there is the Field Jacket in Olive, “It’s comfortable and with all the pockets I can put all my stuff in there.” Finally, Christian chose the COOPH Rope Camera Strap, “lightweight, comfortable and beautiful.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

Around Christmas time, Christian heads back to Vienna to spend time with his family, “We really have joyful days enjoying the time together.” For food there’s no hesitation, “Breaded fish.” He continues, “Even though I have fish often, breaded fish is something I only have for Christmas”. To burn off all the calories from the breaded fish and potato salad Christian will head back to the mountains. “I like to spend my Holidays doing something active like ski touring or going on a hike.” Here Christian takes some of his more striking photography.
Our fourth COOPH Gift Guide comes from the Berlin-based photographer Heather M. Schmaedeke.
The American photographer won the
2022 COOPH World photography Day photo contest.
Schmaedeke has a deep philosophical relationship with her art, “Each image is an invitation to experience the visual playground of the evening hours. It is a time and place when things are a little fuzzy around the edges, not so clearly defined.”
Heather loves to shoot at night or in bad weather conditions as she gets inspired by strong and unusual light. "I have always been a night person; there is something rich and malleable about it.”

For the holidays, Heather usually heads back to the United States to be with her family, “Any time we get to spend together is very important to me, especially around the holidays.” And for food, “My favorite Christmas food is eggplant parmesan. It's not specifically a Christmas dish, but it is one of my favorite meals”.
The third of our COOPH Gift Guides is a very special edition from Nico Klein-Allermann
The Berlin-based artist is not only a brilliant photographer but also the founder of the organisation, Art Meets Education.
For this Gift Guide, we are not reducing prices and joining the Black Friday hype.
Instead, we want to do something different.

The Japanese-Canadian photographer is known as Bigheadtaco (BHT) and runs a successful YouTube channel. Kayo also writes for Fujilove magazine from his home in Vancouver.

The holidays are a special time for Kayo, “Time is our most valuable asset. The first of our COOPH Gift Guides is from Caro Unrath. You might know the Munich-based photographer from the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2021, where she won the Lifestyle by COOPH category. Her winning Red Bull Illume shows the intersection of lifestyle, fashion, and sports photography.
In her own words, “The artist's world is limitless. I love to fill up and create a room of energy, emotions, moments, and discovery, leave enough space for someone else to get there, show people around and let them dive deeper into different worlds they've never been to before.”

Caro loves the family-oriented side of Christmas, “My favorite part of the holidays is coming together with my family and friends.” She heads back to her parent’s place in Baden-Württemberg, “my mum is doing handmade Spätzle……….. with Maroni flavor in the sauce.” After filling up with Swabian delicacy she heads out for a walk, always with her camera, “this one I chose was taken on Christmas morning, when I went out for a walk. I love when it’s freezing cold”.
