Nashville, TN – This December, The Parthenon and Centennial Park Conservancy proudly present “The Muses,” a visually stunning underwater contemporary photography exhibition by internationally acclaimed artist Christy Lee Rogers. The exhibit will be on display in the East Gallery of The Parthenon from December 13, 2024, to June 1, 2025, with a free opening reception on December 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Christy Lee Rogers, renowned for her ethereal underwater imagery, combines water, fabric, and light to create visuals that are both otherworldly and deeply human. “The Muses embody the essence of artistic creation,” she explains. “By drawing from various collections, I aim to show how their influence transcends time and discipline.” Her work, which fuses classical influences with contemporary techniques, invites viewers to rediscover the fluidity of emotion and the timeless beauty inherent in the creative process.
Curator Jennifer Richardson adds, “This exhibition is a celebration of human creativity across centuries. Christy’s photography inspires our visitors to explore their own creative potential and see the impossible become possible.”
In addition to the exhibit, a series of interactive workshops and community events will allow visitors to engage with the art on a deeper level. This showcase not only elevates Christy Lee Rogers’ work but also reinforces Nashville’s vibrant role in contemporary art and creative expression.
