Cookie Policy
1. Basic
COOPH uses Cookies and HTML5 storage technologies to make the viewing of our website and online shopping as easy as possible. Cookies are text files that are stored on the user´s computer when visiting a website.
Session Cookies:
Session cookies serve us to identify your device on our website for the duration of your visit. These will be deleted after closing your browser. We need these cookies:
- For anonymized statistical evaluations using web tracking
- For the correct operation of the website (e.g. the purchase process or login, to determine the bandwidth of your video playback)
Persistent Cookies:
Persistent cookies serve us and our affiliate companies to recognize your browser on your next visit, so we can show you for example the contents of your shopping cart when you visit our website again. The duration of storage of the persistent cookies can vary as required. Persistent cookies can be deleted by you at any time.
Technical Cookies:
These cookies are necessary for the operation of the website and to ensure a pleasant user experience (e.g. language preferences, available bandwidth or volume settings for video playbacks). If technical cookies are disabled, features of the site may be restricted. The storage duration of these cookies is unlimited.
HTML5 storage technologies:
These are also known as website data or local storage and are small databases that also serve to increase the user-friendliness of a website. Also, with this technology, user-related information can be stored on your computer. There is website data that is deleted after closing the browser (session storage), others have an unlimited duration of storage (local storage).
In most website browser privacy settings you will find the following options:
- accept all cookies and/or HTML5 storage
- block all cookies and/or HTML5 storage
- define the acceptance of cookies and/or HTML5 storage for specific cases: often there is the possibility to block cookies and/or HTML5 storage of partner websites or the possibility to allow or block cookies and/or HTML5 storage for certain websites.
To manage cookies and the HTML5 storage use the privacy or security settings of your browser. Further information can be found in the help function of your browser or on the website of the browser provider.
2. Consent
When setting cookies which contain personal data or pertain to your privacy, your consent will be obtained in advance. This happens because you continue to surf after you received the information about the nature and purpose of the cookies used on our website and online shop on the cookie banner. The use of cookies, which are indispensable for full functionality of our pages (technical cookies) and for activities that you specifically request do not require an explicit acceptance. You can prevent the setting of these technical cookies by changing your browser settings (see above). This may limit the functionality of our website.
3. Web tracking
Information about the surfing behavior of website visitors is collected, stored and processed anonymously on our website for statistical evaluation, for marketing purposes and to improve our online services for you. This data is stored on your computer using so called “cookie” text files and allows us to analyze browsing behavior anonymously. For example, in which city a website visitor is, which browser type and which operating system the website visitor uses and which pages he/she has visited on the website. To exclude any direct personal reference, all IP-addresses are shortened (masked), therefore the information is only processed in an anonymous form. The storage of the anonymized data takes place indefinitely.
COOPH uses Google Analytics; a web analytics service provided by Google.
We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended with the code “gat._anonymizeIp();“ in order to ensure the anonymous collection of IP addresses (so called IP-masking). Your IP address will therefore only be collected by Google at our request in a shortened form, which ensures anonymization and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. By activating the IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement for the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Acting on our instructions, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website and will provide us with other services related to the use of the website and internet. The IP address from your browser provided by Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by changing the relevant settings of your browser software. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of the website to their fullest possible extent.
In addition, you can prevent Google from the collection of data generated by the cookie, or data related to the use of the website (including your IP address), as well as the processing of this data by Google by installing a browser Plug-In from Google which disables Google Analytics in your browser. Here is a link to download the Plug-In: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
More information about the Privacy Policy from Google Analytics can be found here.
4. Anonymous storage of transaction data
Our website will provide you with personal recommendations. These are based on items that you have already viewed, searched or bought on our website. This information is stored anonymously in a cookie. Your personal information, such as name, date of birth and address are not stored in this context and a conclusion on your person is not possible.
5. Integration in social plug-ins
The social media links used on our website do not transfer personal data to third parties. When using the links, you will be redirected to the websites of the respective providers. This means that Facebook, Google, Pinterest and Twitter only process the personal data that you provide to these services on their websites, upon which we have no influence.
6. Retargeting technologies
Our website uses retargeting technology. This makes it possible to specifically target internet users with advertising who are already interested in our shop and our products. We know from studies that personalized advertisements are more interesting for internet users than advertising without individual relevance. The insertion of the advertising medium takes place during retargeting on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of the previous user behavior. Of course, the use of retargeting technology takes place in compliance with the applicable legal data protection regulations.
The storage duration of the cookies used for retargeting may vary and usually complies with the length of the campaign; typically 90 days.
Concerning this matter, we worked together with Google. If you do not want to receive interest-based advertising, you can deactivate it at Google here.
Please note: the objection (opt-out) is held in the form of a cookie. If you delete all cookies on your computer, this opt-out cookie will also be deleted. Therefore, if you still want to object to anonymized data collection through web tracking, you must set the opt-out cookie again. The opt-out cookie is set per browser and per computer.
7. Google AdWords – Conversion Tracking
We used the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and as part of that the conversion tracking. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on a Google-served ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and ourselves recognize that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page. Each Google-AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked through websites of AdWords customers. The information gathered with the aid of conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies the users. This way you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. 8. Facebook Website Custom Audience
Our website has a Facebook pixel (Website Custom Audience Pixel). This pixel gathers pseudonymous information about your use of this site (e.g. information about featured articles or products). The information collected can be used to create personalized advertising e.g. on your Facebook account.
