Myanmar On the Surface

Myanmar On the Surface

Justin Mott is an established documentary photographer based in Vietnam, who works for the New York Times. His series titled, Myanmar On the Surface, was shot over a period of years, throughout multiple assignments. Justin says about the project, "I selected these images as a representation of the colorful and cheerful perception of Myanmar that the ruling government wants the rest of the world to see, but a darker story remains beneath the surface." Additional editorial clients, Justin has worked for, include TIME Magazine, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and The Smithsonian.
