At COOPH we love to see the work of up-and-coming artists. One such artist Is Bjarne Hauschildt, a young artist from Karlsruhe, Germany. Bjarne was employed here on an internship between October and February and during this time he created some breath-taking photography inspired artwork for COOPH, which we wanted to share.
‘Planet COOPH’ is a collection of images that demonstrates the skill of the German artist. The collection imagines a whole planet dedicated to the art of photography. Inspired by the French artist Moebius, ‘Planet COOPH’ is both modern and steampunk at the same time.
You can also see elements of the American West in the artwork, with famous landmarks like Death Valley invoked. However, you are never far from our essential element - photography. Hauschildt took inspiration from retro film cameras for some of the details of the artwork – can you spot all of the cameras?
Now after ‘Planet COOPH’, and his internship new horizons beckon for Hauschildt. The images of the desert must have stirred something in him as that’s where he headed next. The German is continuing his studies in Jordan, but still has time to create his art.
