Karen and Steve Jackson are two parts of a unit, as husband and wife photographers, based in Texas. Together they created the series, “Telling Their Stories.” They state, “Everyone has a story that makes them unique and special, allowing us the opportunity to learn and be inspired by the most unexpected people…Our images are developed from conversations with our models about a range of topics: loss, doubt, self-worth, addiction, injury, illness, and depression.” The stories that these images portray says Karen and Steve, are very personal and have been shared with trust. In viewing the work, it is up to the audience, in the end, to construct their own narrative.
