COOPH Master Ben von Wong’s latest photographic project highlights an extreme problem in an incredibly beautiful way. Plastic straws have become a hot topic around the world, due to their size and weight making them virtually impossible to recycle. To encourage people to turn down the option of using plastic straws, Ben created “strawpocalypse”, an installation made using 168,000 used plastic straws. It took hundreds of volunteers over 6 months to gather the straws to bring this project to life, with the help of Zero Waste Saigon and Starbucks Vietnam.
