Visual Q&A: Jürgen Schadeberg

Visual Q&A: Jürgen Schadeberg

Jürgen Schadeberg is a legend in South African and World Photography. His vast body of work, spanning 70 years of work and 200,000 negatives, captures a wealth of timeless and iconic images from historic periods, most particularly the Apartheid era in South Africa. His contribution during the struggle included mentoring some of the most creative young South African photographers and his role has earned him recognition as “The Father of South African Photography”.

We asked Jürgen Schadeberg some questions, and asked he only respond with his images.
