Corey Gunzz is a photographer from New Jersey. In the spring of 2016, he began to explore urban cityscapes. Wanting to capture and document the environments that he was newly emerged in, he began taking pictures. After a while, it became something that he wanted to dedicate all of his time to.
Corey says that it was rough growing up, and he had a lot of issues with jail, drugs, and institutions. He never really felt like he fit in. In the fall of 2010, Corey sobered up and began to use creativity as an outlet. He states,
"I had some friends that were into urban exploring. I asked them to bring me along one day. I can remember the feelings of excitement, anxiety, and heightened awareness. I was instantly hooked. As the years grew on and the risks grew higher and higher, it became more exhilarating. I realized I was using exploring and photography as my creative outlet. A chance to be me, and for the first time in my life, not care what people thought."
