“Crossroads,” is the current photography show that is on display at Staley Wise Gallery. The work is Txema Yeste’s first solo exhibition. Txema began taking photographs as a photojournalist and later turned to fashion. His work is strongly influenced by traditional Spanish costume, music, film, and art. The vibrant colors in his imagery are mainly due to his choice of technique; dye-transfer prints made with four separate color plates.
Txema lives in Barcelona. He has worked with Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and Yves Sant Laurent. The exhibition, in New York, is on view through November 2, 2019.
