Originally from Melbourne, James J Robinson is a photographer currently based in New York. James uses analog cameras, with a focus on social change and identity politics. He states, "My approach to photography is inspired by the people and places I encounter every day. When shooting, instead of glamorizing a life dissimilar from my own, I prefer to find the beauty the kinds of things we don't notice." James has been featured in Nylon, and has worked with Diesel, Equinox and Tom Ford.
