But there is a lot more to this essential piece of equipment. We wanted our camera straps to provide perfect solutions for every photographer and all kinds of cameras. Our Leica Double Rope Strap is designed specifically for carrying heavier cameras with large lenses. Made of two ropes instead of one, it provides additional strength and creates a bigger surface leading to improved stress distribution on your neck so you can stay loose and shoot in style.

About the material

When you manufacture camera straps, choosing the right material is key. Designed to carry the weight of bigger cameras, our Leica Double Rope Straps just had to be made of a robust material that has proven its durability under extreme stress. So what better material could you think of then high-quality mountaineering rope? The heavy-duty material ensures the safety of your camera, while providing a rugged yet stylish look. The end pieces are made of vegetable-tanned Italian leather and are firmly sewn onto the wear-resistant climbing ropes by hand. The Leica Double Rope Straps are available with two different fastening options: you can choose between SO straps or solid metal rings.

Great value, high quality, double rope strap. ideal for the SL2

I purchased a single rope strap for my D-Lux and was very pleased so I bought another one for my SL2. I went for the double rope in red and recommend the longer length which allows for more flexibility in use. The strap is very well made and very strong. The double rope seems to be more comfortable, given the weight of the SL2 and lens. The order was dispatched quickly and arrived in the UK within 4 days.
