Currently, on view at The International Center of Photography in New York City, the exhibition, "But Still, It Turns: Recent Photography from the World," is on display. The vast collection of images brings together eight recent photographic projects by photographers in the "lyric documentary tradition." The purpose of this particular type of documentation is in the spirit of anti-narrative and staged photography. The list of artists on display are Vanessa Winship, Curran Hatleberg, Richard Choi, RaMell Ross, Gregory Halpern, Piergiorgio Casotti, Emanuele Brutti, Kristine Potter, and Stanley Wolukau-Wanambwa.


Curator Paul Graham comments, "This photography is 'post documentary' The work in But Still, It Turns grapples directly with the world around—nothing staged, constructed, or dramatized. The show contains a principled refusal of photography that only pursues 'prize-winning moments.'"


The exhibit celebrates ICP's First Anniversary at its a new location on Essex Street, in the Lower East Side (Manhattan). The show runs until August 15, 2021.
