Takashi Arai is from Japan and shoots using the world's earliest practical photography process – the daguerreotype, which was first introduced in 1839.
Takashi shoots daguerreotypes to create individual records of occurrences, such as the fallout from the contaminated Daigo Fukuryūmaru fishing boats, Fukushima, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He calls these records 'micro-monuments'.
